Gas Buster Tanks

Beige gas buster frac tanks with internal manifold and 4" manway

General Information

A gas buster tank (commonly 21,000 gallons in capacity) is uniquely designed to stabilize the thickness of the mud and oil emanating from the oil drilling process. It does this by dispersing gasses allowing them to escape from a top vent, while fluids can be dispensed from the bottom of the tank. This special design enhances safety by preventing a buildup of dangerous combustible material.

Typical Uses

  • Remove free or entrained gas from fluids circulated in the wellbore, such as mud used during drilling operations
  • Stabilize mud viscosity while preventing blowouts and keeping the oilfield job site safe
  • Perfect to be used while flowing back a well
