About Frac Ponds
A frac pond is a retention pond typically used in the Oil & Gas Industry during the fracking process. At the well site, a frac pond may be used to hold fresh water, produced water, or flow back water from a well.
The pond ensures that the chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials do not reach ground or surface water supplies.
The EPA regulates the type of Frac Ponds that can be used, as well as the liners. All Geneva Equipment ponds and liners adhere to the rigorous EPA standards.
